Create a profile

Introduction

A profile contains the basic data for a user, it's the main way to identify each user profile and relate the data with other sections of the application, like Orders, Kits, Genome Files, and Reports.

To create a profile, use a POST request to the /profile/ endpoint, for example, using the following payload:

{
	"name": "Full Name",
	"ethnicity": "White or European",
	"sex": "Male",
	"birth_year": 1992,
	"is_v2": true
}

You should always pass the is_v2 field as true to use the latest file processing pipeline.

You'll get the full profile object in the response, containing an id that you can use to upload files, register kits, or generate reports.

Editing the profile

If you need to change the data of the profile created, you can do it using the update profile endpoint
