Internationalization

API Support

Several services support verified translations. These includes:

1. Heath Reports
2. Labs
3. Recommendations
4. Biochemistry
5. Carrier Status

To get verified translations, you must include a sd-langcookie with your request. The cookie value should correspond to the desired language.

We currently support:

• English en (default)
• Spanish es
• Hebrew he
• Bulgarian bg
• Arabic ar
• German de

Note

Although we do our best to manually populate and verify translations for the above services, there will exist some objects without translations or even some objects with only partial translations (some fields translated, others not).

How to determine whether or not a given field is translated?

Since some objects lack verified translations or are only partially translated, your application may require a way to determine whether or not a given field is translated.

To achieve this, you can pass a query param ?signal_translations=true. This query param will work for all composed endpoints in the above services.

In this case, our servers will append a suffix #!TRANSLATED to all text fields that have been manually verified. For example:

Note - the suffix will only be appended if the requested language is not english.

PDF Support

All PDFs support a mixture of verified and auto-generated translations. Where available we will use the verified translations and otherwise we will fallback on an auto-generated translation.

For PDFs, language is controlled via a lang field included in the PDF configuration (details here).
